  • 4 pieces chicken breasts
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 apples, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, add olive oil and sauté the onions until translucent.
  3. Add the chicken breasts and cook until browned on both sides.
  4. Pour in the apple cider and add the thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Add the sliced apples and cooked turkey bacon in the last 5 minutes.
  7. Serve warm with your choice of sides.
