  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can (15 ounces) cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Spread half of the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  7. Spoon the cherry pie filling over the batter.
  8. Drop the remaining batter by spoonfuls over the cherry filling.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool before cutting into bars.
