Ingredients
Scale
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup Marsala wine
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour, shaking off excess.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Add mushrooms to the same skillet and sauté until tender, about 4 minutes.
Pour in Marsala wine and chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits.
Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
Remove from heat, stir in butter until melted, and serve immediately.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the chicken in garlic and herbs before cooking.
Serve over pasta or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
