  • 1 pound chicken breast, cubed
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 cup cheese, shredded (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions until translucent.
  4. Add cubed chicken and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in orzo, beef broth, garlic powder, and thyme.
  6. Transfer to a greased casserole dish and top with turkey bacon and cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until orzo is tender.
