A rich and creamy chicken pot pie that combines the flavors of turkey bacon and chicken ham for an indulgent twist on a classic dish.

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, carrots, and celery, and sauté until soft.
  3. Stir in the turkey bacon, chicken ham, peas, and shredded chicken. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to coat. Gradually add chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring until the mixture thickens.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, thyme, and garlic powder.
  6. Pour the filling into a pie dish and cover with the pie crust. Cut slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a golden crust, brush the top with beaten egg before baking.
  • Feel free to add any additional vegetables you like.
