A delicious twist on a classic meatloaf featuring Italian flavors and a crunchy topping.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, onion, garlic, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined and form into a loaf.
  4. Place in a baking dish and spread marinara sauce over the top.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and basil on top.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until fully cooked.

Notes

  • Let meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve with pasta or a side salad.
