A delicious twist on a classic comfort food, combining flavors of a Philly cheesesteak with the heartiness of meatloaf.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced green peppers
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 strips turkey bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, cheese, onions, green peppers, ketchup, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
  4. Lay the strips of turkey bacon over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until cooked through.
  6. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add spices like paprika or crushed red pepper.
  • Serve with sautéed mushrooms on top for added richness.
