  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 prepared pie crust
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed sweet potatoes with sugar, milk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
  3. Pour the sweet potato mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes or until the filling is set.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter to make the praline topping.
  6. After the pie has baked for 45 minutes, remove it from the oven and spread the praline topping over the pie.
  7. Return the pie to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  8. Let cool before serving.
